About Srishti Foundation
Srishti Foundation is a non profit education and social services, NGO established in 2020 to uplift
underprivileged and tribal communities through education, health awareness, and skill development
initiatives. It also focuses on education, health, and rights for children, including vulnerable tribal
populations. The organization carries a global image with a local heart, committed to creating
meaningful change in the lives of the local communities.

Srishti Foundation, Founded on 08 June 2020 under the leadership of renowned investigative journalist Vijayalakshmi Shibaruru, Srishti Foundation is a dedicated NGO committed to the holistic upliftment of society. Over the past 5.5 years, the organization has been working selflessly to empower youth through skill-based education, training, and awareness initiatives.
Srishti Foundation also focuses on uplifting tribal communities by educating them about their rights and encouraging the use of their traditional knowledge in agriculture, food practices, and natural medicine. By connecting these skills to market opportunities, the foundation helps improve their economic well-being.
In addition, the organization actively works toward environmental conservation and raises awareness about food adulteration, promoting healthier and more sustainable living practices.
Founder
Ms. Vijayalakshmi Shibaruru holds a postgraduate degree in Mass Communication and Journalism from Mangalore University and an LLB from Karnataka State Law University. She began her career as an sub-editor with Janavahini newspaper and later worked with Akashvani (All India Radio). Her professional experience also includes leading media organizations such as Samyuktha Karnataka, ETV Kannada, TV9 Kannada, Suvarana News, News18 kannada.
She currently serves as the Managing Director of Vijaya Times and Chairman of Srishti Media Academy. Srishti Media Academy was established with the vision of providing affordable journalism education to people of all ages, offering both offline and online training with strong practical exposure in reporting.
Driven by a commitment to social service and public awareness, she also founded Srishti Foundation to support community development and provide practical journalism education for aspiring media professionals.
